The Aftermath of Katrina

Let's take some time out of our schedules and pray for all of the people affected by Hurricane Katrina. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

VMAs: Very Mundane Awards Show

Well the VMAs were one a couple hours ago and it was extremely boring. The only thing that was mildly interesting was the Fat Joe comment (to paraphrase: "I feel very safe thanks to all of the securit provided by G-Unit.") Of course Fiddy had to retaliate and he did by calling Fat Joe a fat pussy after his performance. Other than that, the only things worth noting was the Kanye West/Jamie Foxx performance and the M.C. Hammer special performance. The rest of the cookie cutter things were very mundane. I guee even MTV is scuurrred of the big bad FCC.

Herbie Hancock: Possibilities

What an amazing album. As much as I like smooth pop/rock music, this album blew me away. The guests range from John Mayer, Sting, Christina Aguilera, Joss Stone, and Annie Lennox to name a few. Wonderful stuff. 9.2/10

Doing Nothing

Yeah I'm just killing time. Glad to see that the space shuttle landed without any interference. Hopefully we can get back up into space without anymore problems (a guy can wish right...)

Kurt Cobain

A lot of music artists these days (RE: Proof (of D12), Pastor Troy) are using Cobain as inspiration on their albums and while I think it's cool that Rap artists are doing that; I have mixed emotions about it. Where were some of the same artists when Cobain was alive? The same can be said for The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Big L, Big Pun, etc. Artists need to wake up and realize that they are role models for the youth whether they like it or not. Set a good example for todays youth or we'll be burying more gifted artists in the near future.

Proof: Searching for Jerry Garcia

I'm really feeling it right now. Maybe I gotta listen to it 3-4 more times for it to sink in fully. I'll put up my album review in the next couple days.

My New Hobby (err...Addiction)

I am now addicted to tracking down good gameboy and gameboy advance games at a cheap price ($9.99 or less). I know it sounds trivial but hey...I'm a trivial sort of guy. My latest addition is Pokemon: The TCG

I got it for $3.99 and it is worth every cent. If you got any good deals out there that you've spotted, e-mail me a.s.a.p.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Eternal Duelist Soul

Never cared for the Yugi revolution but I kept on seeing good reviews for this game so I blind bought it. It was only $7.99 so I won't lose much if it turns out to suck.

Palmeiro: 'I have never intentionally used steroids'

Bullshit. Now I have lost what little respect I have for the game of Baseball. I used to be a casual fan of the game but with all of the steroid speculations floating around, I think I'll just stop watching altogether.

Basketball>Baseball hands down.

Mumbai Floods

My prayers and condolences go out to the families that lost someone in the floods last week.

R.I.P. God has a plan for us all.
