6 DEAD IN FL NURSING HOME DUE TO NO POWER FROM HURRICANE IRMA

http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/13/health/florida-nursing-home-deaths/index.html

How terribly sad

EDIT: Now the count is up to 8 :(

Hurricanes are getting stronger...maybe because of climate change?!

As I sit here eating lunch contemplating the devastation left from Hurricane Harvey and Irma, I can only guess that it is only going to worse each year. This was the first time 2 CAT4 hurricanes hit the Continental U.S and that is something to be said of climate change. Yes, I understand that a lot of people do not believe in climate change but the science is there. These storms would not have had the power and intensity if the water in the Atlantic and gulf was cooler. Sigh, I guess I'll end my rant here and pray for the best.

Hurricane Irma post update!

Well that was definitely a scary 24 hours! Thank God we survived the brunt of the storm and everything is still intact. Hopefully Hurricane Jose stays in the Atlantic.
