First and foremost, my prayers go out to the many that lost their lives in south-asia this past week. A terrible tragedy that will not be forgotton.

On a happier note, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is getting exited for a New Year. Be careful out there and have a good weekend.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Now it's for some serious exercise...

Artist of the Day: Elisa

She is Italy's best kept secret IMO and she really can sing. Her CDs are a bit expensive but if you can get them, they are excellent. She brings a fresh breath into the world of pop that I wish our US singers could do. To top it off, her actually writes her own songs. I haven't been this excited over an artist (of this genre) since Sarah McLachlan.

5 Stars.

I just updated my Artwork section with a complete Cars location map of GTA: San Andreas. Enjoy.

If you haven't done so yet, I suggest you get Mozilla Firefox 1.0 final. It is out and it's easily the best browser that the net has now. Get it here.

Someone was crying me down the other day because my site appearantly didn't meet the w3c validation test...

For the millionth time people, What doesn't check is the forced ad banner that coolgoose runs on all of their pages. If you want the direct html I can happily post it as a txt file so you can validate it yourself. That being said, I am going back to sleep.

App of the Day:

Ares Galaxy.

The future Klite. 5 stars.

Sunday, October 17, 2004

I just switched over all of my stuff to a new (and hopefully stable) server....so I hope everything stays up.

Tuesday, October 05, 2004

Nothing to report today. Just listening the Bizzy Bone's new LP: Alpha and Omega. Good stuff here.

Tuesday, September 21, 2004

Boring week. Just listening to Royce Da 5'9's and Kenoe's latest albums. Good stuff.

Saturday, September 11, 2004

Yawns. Nothing much. Just hoping Hurricane Ivan stays west of us.

Monday, September 06, 2004

Frances is almost over and I am glad none too soon. Damage was great but not devastating...so I will be on my feet by tomorrow. Up next: Ivan.

Thursday, September 02, 2004

Well, there is another hurricane in our sights. God, I hope we get through this one okay. Will report back in a day or so.

Monday, August 30, 2004

Nothing important in this post. Just listening to Jim Jones new CD.

Thursday, August 26, 2004

Nothing has been going on this past week. Just posting out of habit, I guess.

Plug of the day: File Mirrors

It's a webiste that offers fast mirrors to popular links and programs. One of the top non-commercial websites out there and a great resource. 5 *'s

Man, I just listened to Kiley Dean's pre-album, Simple Girl and it is bananas. That girl has so much potential it's not funny. Her label needs to release her because as talented as Timbaland is, he's not doing anything with her. She could easily be the top female vocalist right now if they marketed her right but I guess they are too busy? She has the range of a Whitney and the versatility of a Celine. She just has it. I hope her CD does come out this year because she is something special. Be on the lookout for Ms. Dean.

Plug of the day: Azureus Bit-torrent client

Versatile client that handles all types of plugins, including Peer Guardian. I think it is the premier client but there are some others out there that do the job as well as AZ. Overall 4.5 *'s

Clearly that link I posted is the truth. HS exit tests are pointless and are useless. Being a product of the O-so-great US educational system, I can tell you HS students are getting their money's worth. It's sad how we (the US) are failing our future by not acting in the present. Other tech saavy countries will soon overtake (Japan already have) us and we will end up like Canada ;)

On a better note, the app of the day is Gaim.

Gaim is an open source, all-in-one Instant messenger client that is like Trillian but is much more secure and stable. Can support AIM, Yahoo, MSN, IRC, and ICQ. 5 *'s

Tuesday, August 17, 2004

Man, I was so exhausted from all of the work I had to do yesterday (cleaning up storm dedris and helping other people fix stuff) that I forgot to post. O well...

Man Charley really did a number on where I live but I know we will pull through.

App of the day: HTML-Kit

An overall awesom HTML editor and creator that is useful for beginners as well as comprehensive for the HTML master. 5 *'s

So it seems my Website is html standard compliant by W3's site.

I had to say to it was hard but that now everything renders properly. The 'errors' that my site might have is not the original html but my server's horrible Ads. The html is perfect though so I am proud of that. I even notice how many big sites don't even have a doctype in their pages and it really makes me sad. The only site other than W3 that I have seen compliant is Mozilla.

Oh well, maybe someday...
Man if you haven't heard R. Kelly's new double album then hurry up. The Happy People/U Saved Me double LP will sure to give people both sides of Robert. HP is more for the club whilst USM is about prayer and reflection. A very good showing and will probably win some grammys.

Plug of the day: Net Limiter

A very useful bandwidth app that manages all of your programs and sub-processes. 5 *'s

My mirror site is now Here.

I just switched servers just in case my main site goes down. The ads :( are now text based (in Firefox w/ adblock installed) and renders well. In IE it's a different story. I urge any IE user to switch to Firefox (Mozilla's Website) because it is a safer and more reliable browser than IE and Opera. Plus, the extensions make it a vastly more robust utility than the ones I have mentioned. The switch is almost seamless but current IE users will see the internet in a new light in the first few seconds when using Firefox.

That was my app plug for the day and I probably will plug a useful app in each entry after this one.

So the worst of Charley is behind me but I must admit for a stretch it was quite scary. The winds were excess of about 65 MPH and the rain was horrendous. However, minimal damage was sustained around my neighbourhood so I am fortunate. Also, I just saw that another depression is approching us and will look a lot like Charley......man it's not a good time to live in FLA. More news later.
Listening to some classic R. Kelly and eating some PB&J waiting for this damn hurricane (Charley) to pass through my state. I hope we don't get that much damage and I also stocked up on my crucial supplies. Well...back to the music. I'll keep you all informed as the day goes by (if the electricity stays on).

Thursday, August 12, 2004

The Olympics start tomorrow and I am very excited. I just saw the Iraqi national soccer team demolish Portugal and I was shocked. I hope there are more surprises in store for us during the games because I need to competition in my life. In other news, I heard about N.J. Governor and his sexual preference. I'll admit I had a problem with it when I first heard the story but it boils down to job security. If he was doing a good job as Gov. then he shouldn't be forced to retire...but we all know the political mores in this country.

Sad.

O man I played the demo of Metroid Prime 2 and was blown away. The demo is better than some full games out right now. I can't wait for this game. GTA: SA is also on my wishlist. I woke up with a major migrane and been poppin' pills to ease the throbbing sensation. O well, maybe it will ease up later.
Check Out this Hot Dipset diss against our newly returned preacher, Ma$e.

They went hard against him. If you didn't hear the Hot 97 interview they had prior to that, you should search the net for it. Hilarious stuff.

Tuesday, August 10, 2004

Man I am exhausted today. Played like 3 straight hours of basketball and didn't really eat anything. Anyways, if you're in Orlando and want a good run, drop me an email and I will personally school you for free.

So I watched the finale of The 4400 and the twist at the end was very interesting, to say the least. I wondered if aliens did, infact, abduct them but the end solved that enigma. It was a very interesting mini-series that was well put together and well drawn out. However, the mini-series by the Sci-Fi channel, Five Days Til Midnight was an overall better series in terms of depth and logic. I wish more mini-series have the same qualities as these two because it would mean better ratings and viewers.
I am trying to work on my website and get a different layout and server up. My current one is very drab and plain because of my server's abilities (or lack thereof). However, I have pieced together a good site with the minimal resources that I have. On a side note, I just listened to Mobb Deep's new LP entitled Amerikaz Nightmare. It is spectacular and I hope you guys go out and buy it because it is definitely 5 stars and a savior of the summer, which has seen some disasters i.e. Jadakiss' new LP, Lloyd Banks' generic, monotone LP, and Young Buck's LP (that sounds more like a mixtape). Lil Wayne's LP, however, is an instant classic and should be praised for his non-Hot Boyesqe style but more of a personal approach. Be on the lookout for his upcoming single, Go DJ; it's pure fire.

Just saw Collateral and it was amazing. One of the best films this year and looking like Oscar roles for Jamie and Tom.
