Well, it should be as no surprised that the FBI in conjunction with local authorities cracked down on a number of scene members a few days ago. C*P was probably the most noticable in the bunch but a number of rippers were charged.
Instead of the FBI going after real criminals, they waste all of this TAX money (there were like what, 90 searches that lead to 4 arrests or something in that neighbourhood) that could be going to another, more important cause in society. I'm not pointing any fingers or condoning piracy in any form (real scene peeps know that rippers don't do it to spread the files) but they (the rippers) knew that they were doing unlawful acts. It's sad to see the greatest country in the world wasting this much effort on a cause that will not die (Where there is a will, there is a way).
Sceners should keep everything iNT and say fuck to their curriers/affil/pre_sites/etc. for a while and I do agree that p2p appz should be taken away from every Tom, Dick, and Harry. The shit is becoming so popular that once in a while there will be a burst or two. However, the scene knows how to survive so I'm not worried as much as some other forums/sites I see out there saying how the current file sharing trends will change forever because of this bust.
Ummm...not it won't.
